Scrumptious Sunday lined up in Banbury Market Place

18/08/2022

Celebrity chef Paul Da Costa Greaves will be appearing at the Food and Drink Festival

Banbury’s Food and Drink Festival returns this Sunday – a scrumptious day out with around 80 traders offering treats and flavours from around the world.

Market Place will overflow with food and drink of many cultures – and shoppers will have mouth-watering choices as they tour the stalls.

Many traders will have free samples so that shoppers can taste before they buy and al fresco dining will be popular with many families.

Tables and chairs will be set out so that visitors can relax and eat – and enjoy the music provided by five live acts.

Three cooking demonstrations by celebrity chef Paul Da Costa Greaves will instruct, amuse and entertain food lovers of all ages.

Paul is well known in foodie circles as a lifestyle presenter, chef, and all-round joker.

Born in Merseyside to an English mother and Jamaican father, Paul has an infectious personality. He is colourful, funny, highly original and can bring the most mundane, everyday cooking experiences to life.

The food fair is organised by Banbury Town Council, and mayor Jayne Strangwood said: “The Food Fair is one of Banbury’s most popular events and attracts thousands of people every year.

“It celebrates everything good about food and drink and is an opportunity for people to try something different.”

The food fair will run from 11am until 5pm.
