Ruscote councillor was first elected as leader nearly ten years ago
Sean Woodcock has been re-elected as the leader of the Labour Group at Cherwell District Council.
Councillor Woodcock has served as a district councillor since 2012 and represents the Banbury Ruscote ward. He was first elected as Leader in February 2013.
The election took place at a group meeting of all district Labour councillors last night. Newly elected Amanda Watkins, who also represents the Banbury Ruscote ward, will be Councillor Woodcock’s deputy.
Writing on social media after his re-election Councillor Woodcock said “Delighted to be re-elected Cherwell District Council Labour group Leader last night. Big year ahead with new members and I am looking forward to what lies ahead.”
