17/07/2023
Police are still appealing for the good samaritan who helped the victim to come forward
A second youth has been arrested as police continue to investigate the assault of a 14-year-old boy outside Banbury Train Station on July 3.
A 13-year-old male was arrested in relation to the incident last week. The latest arrest is another 13-year-old boy.
At the time of the incident a good samaritan came to the aid of the 14-year-old who had been pulled off his bike and was being repeatedly punched to the head by two other youths.
Police are still hoping to speak to the woman who stopped and helped the young victim. Together with any other witnesses to the incident, she should call 101, quoting reference 43230294397.
The investigation into the case is linked to Operation Jankle – Banbury Neighbourhood Policing Team’s response to the group of youths responsible for ongoing anti-social behaviour and offending in the Banbury area.
