Police have issued a community resolution

Two sheep suffered puncture wounds following a dog attack in Wardington yesterday (July 30).

Members of the Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Taskforce responded to the incident.

After confirming injuries to two animals, the officers located the dog’s owner and issued a community resolution – a form of restorative justice often used for low-level or first-time offences, allowing the offender to acknowledge their actions and take responsibility.

Sheep worrying, which includes chasing or attacking livestock, can result in serious harm or death to farm animals and is a criminal offence under the Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act 1953.
