Six – including three teens – arrested during Warwick Road disturbance

Affray, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon were amongst the suspected crimes
Six people were arrested following a disturbance in Banbury’s Warwick Road on Monday evening (May 16). Three of the individuals were teenagers with one aged just 13.
Thames Valley Police were called just after 7.30pm.
Officers made ready a taser in order to gain control of the individuals as they were arrested, although this didn’t need to be used.
The three teenagers were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including affray, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. They are all from Banbury and aged 16, 15 and 13.
The other three individuals were adult males from the town aged 48, 25 and 23. They were arrested on suspicion of affray.
All six remained in police custody on Tuesday. Nobody was seriously injured in the altercation.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Thames Valley Police continues its investigation and is urging anybody who witnessed the incident, or who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage, to contact 101, quoting reference number 43220212430.”
