26/12/2021
Supplies were affected from around 3.27pm on Boxing Day afternoon
A number of properties in Deddington have been without power during Boxing Day afternoon. The fault was first reported at 3.27pm.
A fault in a supply box caused a small fire which affected properties on the High Street and some surrounding roads.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue appliances and crews attended the scene, alongside staff from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSE). The supply box had to be isolated before the problem could be safely dealt with.
SSE estimated that supplies would be returned by 8pm.
