Sean Woodcock says they were elected to provide stability and change
The Prime Minister continues to have the support of Banbury’s MP, Sean Woodcock.
Its been a turbulent few days for Kier Starmer, with his premiership hanging in the balance in the wake of his appointment of Lord Peter Mandelson as the UK’s Ambassador to the United States and Mandelson’s association with the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Labour MPs met with the Prime Minister behind closed doors last night, but shortly before that meeting Mr Woodcock indicated his support remained with the Prime Minister.
Writing on X he said: “18 months ago, we were given a task by the electorate.
“To end years of Tory psychodrama, provide our country with stability and the change that our country voted for.
“Our constituents want us to focus on delivering those things.
“That’s why I remain firmly behind the PM.”
