Subsidised training to help businesses calculate and address their carbon footprint
21/09/2023
The courses start in October
A new subsidised training course has been launched by Cherwell District Council to help our area’s small and medium-sized businesses calculate and address the size of their carbon footprint, whilst also cutting their energy costs.
The course will give businesses the opportunity to learn about the benefits of sustainability for them and their customers.
Councillor Donna Ford, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, said: “It’s crucial that businesses develop skills and drive innovation to support their growth. Being able to provide funding to make the cost more affordable for this training was important to us. Not only will it make this training more accessible to small and medium businesses who will really benefit from information on offer but will also allow them to work towards any carbon targets they may have.”
The “Taming the Carbon Monster” course starts in early October and any business located within Cherwell district with less than 250 employees is eligible to take part at a discounted rate of £100.
