North Oxfordshire woke up to a light dusting of snow but escapes the worst conditions
Banbury has woken up to the first snow of the decade, but it appears North Oxfordshire has escaped the worst of the predicted bad weather.
Banbury FM listeners reported a light dusting of snow across most of the area. The main roads all remained clear, in part thanks to the snow starting to fall after the morning rush hour had begun, but also thanks to the efforts of the County Council’s gritting team.
Cherwell Edge Golf course announced they would stay closed during the morning due to the snow, but all North Oxfordshire Schools opened as normal.
Despite there only being a light dusting of snow it was enough for some to head out and have some fun. These are some pictures from our listeners:
