Meticulous viewing of CCTV footage has led to two arrests
Police are urging people to make sure their vehicles are left locked when not in use.
Banbury Neighbourhood Policing Team said they have seen thieves targeting those left unlocked, making them more vulnerable.
The theft of and theft from motor vehicles in our area has been a focus of the team’s work this week. Two arrests have been made following a meticulous viewing of CCTV footage provided.
It was during this exercise it became apparent that thieves are focusing on vehicles left unlocked. The advice from officers is to double check your vehicle is locked when leaving it and not leave any valuables inside.
More arrests are likely as investigation work continues.
