Toilets closed “for the foreseeable future”

Vandals have struck again at the Brackley High Street facility
Brackley Town Council says the town’s public toilets on the High Street will now be closed “for the foreseeable future”. It comes after vandals struck at the facility again.
The toilets were targeted last November after a urinal was kicked off the wall and then twice in a week in December when Council staff discovered that the toilet door had been kicked in. The lock mechanism was fixed, but the door was then kicked in again the following evening.
Both male and female toilets are affected following the latest incident.
Its less than a year since the toilet block was completely refurbished as part of a project that cost West Northamptonshire Council just under £74,000.
The Town Council has apologised for the closure and says public toilets are still available to the rear of the Old Fire Station next to the Town Park.
