Town Mayor plans Fun Day on Sunday
05/07/2023
The annual event takes place in People’s Park
It will be action and excitement all the way at the town mayor’s Fun Day in People’s Park this Sunday.
The event continues the long-standing tradition of summer parties in the park to which everyone is invited.
The popular free-to-enter family day out will start at 11.30am and finish at 4.30pm to provide five hours of non-stop activity that will please people of all ages.
This year’s mayor Cllr Fiaz Ahmed said: “I know this event is looked forward to every year by lots of families who want to come out and have a good time.
“This year there will be lots to see and do – and no-one should go home disappointed. I’m looking forward to meeting people and joining in the fun.”
The programme includes a dog show, funfair rides, arena displays, summer market, ferret racing, go-karting, crazy golf, plus a bar and food and drink stalls.
Cllr Ahmed added: “I’m inviting everyone to come along and join in.
“It’s a beautiful park – a marvellous setting for a party – and I must stress that entry on the day is free. All the family can come – no charge.”
The event is organised by Banbury Town Council.
