Tractor Run was a huge success
20/12/2021
“There were so many wonderful supporters on the streets lining every single road we went down in the villages”
On Saturday night hundreds of people lined the streets of the villages on the southern side of Banbury to see a convoy of 100 fairy lit tractors bring festive cheer to the area, whilst raising money for the Katharine House Hospice. Young and old alike waved and cheered the convoy as it passed through South Newington, Milcombe, Bloxham and Adderbury before heading to Aynho, Deddington and Barford St Michael.
The total raised will not be known for a number of days yet but it’s not too late to donate if you haven’t done so yet, or if you had any problems using the text-to-donate system on Saturday evening.
A vote for the best dressed tractor and the chance to take part in the events raffle are still open on the Tractor Run Facebook page.
The event is organised by Jennie Steenkamp from RC Baker Ltd. She said: “It went really well. The effort the tractors go to is unbelievable. They just get better and better – I don’t know how they do it.
