Two Banbury constituency hustings arranged
21/06/2024
People can question the candidates in Charlbury and Banbury over the next two Fridays
The first of two General Election hustings, with the candidates in the Banbury constituency who want to secure your vote on July 4, will take place this evening in Charlbury.
Arranged by Churches Together in Charlbury, the organisers say that all the candidates will be represented at the meeting, which starts at 7.30pm in Charlbury Memorial Hall, with the vicar chairing the event.
Local hustings in Banbury will be held in St Mary’s Church next Friday evening, organised by Banbury Acting Together.
They are asking anyone who has a question to submit it by email before 12pm next Tuesday. Alternatively people can take along written questions and hand them in on the night.
Maria Huff from Banbury Acting Together said: “Its great that St Mary’s Church is our venue for our hustings so lots of people can come – we are really hoping that people in Banbury and the wider constituency can find out what their local candidates are like, and how they would represent us if elected as our MP.”
The Banbury Hustings will start at 7pm. Those wishing to hand in questions are asked to do so by 6.45pm.
Starting next week you’ll be able to hear Banbury FM’s interviews with the Banbury election candidates, airing each evening at 6 o’clock.
