United raises £4,000 for flood relief fund

A 2021/22 season signed Banbury United shirt was the most popular item

Banbury United’s Flood Relief Auction took place on Saturday evening.   The event aimed to plug a gap in the Puritan’s finances following the postponement of several games due to flooding at Station Approach.   The auction itself had to be rescheduled a couple of times.

Lots included limited edition, collectors, and vintage Puritans merchandise and a number of items signed by well known sports stars.

Along with donations, the event raised £4,000.  

The most hotly contested item on the night was a 2021/22 season signed Banbury United shirt which sold for £460.
