Priorities include supporting people to stay healthy, protecting them from health hazards and preventing ill-health
Having the best possible start in life, living happier, healthier lives for longer, and getting the right support when its needed: that’s the vision of the Integrated Care Partnership for our area – a group which includes representatives from the health and care systems, voluntary organisations and local councils.
To achieve the vision the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire Integrated Care Partnership has developed a draft strategy which proposes a common set of priorities that members of the partnership will work on together.
The priorities include supporting people to stay healthy, protecting them from health hazards and preventing ill-health. Helping children achieve the best start in life and supporting people and communities to stay healthy for as long as possible are also included.
As people get older support is suggested to help them live healthier, independent lives for longer.
Improving quality and access to services is also noted as a priority.
Councillor Mark Lygo, Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Equalities, said: “It’s hugely important that we hear the views of everybody to help appropriately shape the partnerships priorities. By ensuring we can agree on a common set of priorities, we can help to ensure that everyone can have the best possible start in life, and live happier, healthier lives for longer.”
A survey has been launched to get our opinions on the proposals and this will be open until January 29. The survey can be found here.
