Vital rail link bridge repairs completed
09/06/2023
Buses have replaced trains between Oxford and Didcot
There’s good news for train users heading from Banbury to the south. Repairs to the Nuneham Viaduct between Oxford and Didcot have been completed and a normal train service along this section is due to return tomorrow (Saturday).
Buses have replacing trains after network rail closed the line at the start of April due to movement in the bridge which made the structure unsafe.
The first passenger service passed over the Nuneham Viaduct this morning after a ten-week emergency repair programme was completed.
