Vote for the best tree at St Mary’s
18/12/2024
The winner will be announced at the service on Sunday morning
We’re being invited to pop into St Mary’s Church in Banbury to vote for the Best Tree on display at their Christmas Tree Festival.
Each tree was decorated by a local business or charity earlier this week. Visitors can buy tokens when they enter the church and leave these in the pots by the trees they think are the best.
The owner of the tree with the most tokens will not only be named as Best Tree, but a sum of money will also be given to their chosen charity. The remainder of the proceeds from the festival will go to maintaining the grade 1 listed church building.
The Christmas Tree Festival is open today (Wednesday), Thursday and Friday between 10am and 1pm and from 10am to 4pm on Saturday. The winning tree will be announced during the service at 10am on Sunday morning.
St Mary’s will be holding their Carols by Candlelight Concert at 4pm on Saturday afternoon.
