What3Words to help track down illegal off-road bikers

Police encourage the public to report all off-roading offences
Thames Valley Police are stepping up their action to address people using off-road bikes around Banbury and on surrounding farmland.
To help pinpoint where riders are, officers have issued farmers with signs to place on their property. These utilise the What3Words system to quickly confirm an exact location.
In recent weeks social media users have reported seeing riders in the fields between Drayton and Bretch Hill and a burnt-out bike was discovered on farmland between Bretch Hill and Wroxton.
Riding across farmland damages crops, affecting farmers’ livelihoods. Those using the off-road bikes are suspected of committing a number of driving offences and anti-social behaviour.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “We are encouraging the public to report incidents to us and we will take action where we are able to do so.”
They added: “We also welcome any information of those who continue to ignore these warnings and any evidence we can gather will be used to ensure offenders are dealt with.”
