Woman approached by two men and assaulted in People’s Park

The woman’s arm was grabbed and she was punched in the face
A woman was assaulted in People’s Park early on Tuesday morning (February 4) after being approached by two men. The victim, who’s in her forties, was told to go with them.
One of the offenders then grabbed her arm, whilst the other male punched her in the face twice.
Both men then ran off in the direction of Banbury town centre.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to the assault which happened between 3.30am and 5.30am.
The victim sustained minor injuries but didn’t need hospital treatment.
The offenders were described as white males of between 5ft 10ins and 6ft in height. One was seen to be wearing dark blue or black-coloured jeans and a dark-coloured jacket and white trainers. The other offender was wearing black jogging bottoms, a dark blue jacket and black trainers.
Investigating officer, PC Jonathan Wolverson, based at Banbury police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this assault incident to please come forward.
“Anyone with information or footage relating to the incident should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43250057157.
