Police want to check on the woman’s welfare after the Wednesday morning attack

A woman was grabbed by the throat by a man in a Banbury car park yesterday morning (March 23) and when a member of the public intervened to help they were also assaulted.

The incident took place in the Spiceball Park car park opposite the Castle Quay Waterside development at 9.15am.   After the attack the woman left the car park, driving off in a Red Audi which may have been an A3.

A number of building workers witnessed the assaults, but Thames Valley Police would like to speak to anyone else who saw what happened.

The male involved is described as Asian, of relatively slim build, wearing a navy blue sporty top, navy joggers, black trainers, a cap and a black bag.   He was with another man who is described as wearing dark navy joggers and a white puff coat with a black hood and back.

The Police say they would like to locate the female to check on her welfare.
