Woman sexually assaulted in Banbury High Street

Police have released the image of a man who may be able to help with their enquiries

A woman has been sexually assaulted in Banbury High Street.

The victim, who’s in her thirties, was walking by the Leeds Building Society, when a man ran up behind her and inappropriately touched her over her clothing.   He then ran away.

The assault happened at around 5.10am on Sunday August 24.

Thames Valley Police has released the image of a man who officers believe may have vital information about an incident.

Investigating officer, PC Joshua Longmate, said: “If you recognise him, or if this is you, we would ask that you please call Thames Valley Police on 101 or make a report online quoting reference 43250433753.

“If you do not wish to speak to the police directly, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111”.
