Queen Elizabeth II became sovereign on 6 February 1952 at the age of 25. Her coronation took place on 2 June 1953 at Westminster Abbey in London.
To mark the landmark occasion oi Her Majesty reigning for 70 years, a number of events are lined up in the Banbury FM area through the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.
