The battle for control of Cherwell District Council
Ahead of the election the Conservatives controlled Cherwell District Council through a minority administration, holding 20 of the 48 seats. Any party, or alliance of parties, which holds more than 24 seats can take control of the Council and its agenda.
This is the final position. (You can see how the Council was controlled before May 2 at the foot of this page.)
