Saturday crime: robbery, suspected drug driving and drink related issues

Police have busy day dealing with robbery as it happened, a driver suspected of being under the influence of drugs and drink related issues
Officers from Thames Valley Police successfully apprehended two men after receiving reports of a robbery in progress during late Saturday afternoon. Members of the force were quickly on the scene after receiving notification of the incident. The two males were taken into custody and officers are continuing their enquiries.
Earlier in the day a man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. Police stopped the vehicle on the Middleton Road.
Officers were also on scene to assist paramedics dealing with an intoxicated man on Saturday evening. Banbury’s pubs had reopened earlier in the day for the first time since lockdown restrictions were eased.
