Creative people asked to donate to help raise money for The Sunshine Centre
Did you allow your creative self to flourish during lockdown? If you spent any of the time creating pieces of artwork they might be just what is needed to raise money for The Sunshine Centre.
Castle Quay shopping centre has announced its first ever charity silent auction will be taking place during August. They are asking for donations that showcase the incredible things people created during lockdown.
Items in the silent auction could include paintings, photographs, drawings and sculptures. Donations will be displayed from August 17th at the Lockdown Craft Gallery, opposite the Gap Outlet store. Anyone wishing to make a bid can then submit their offer at the Customer Service Desk until 28th August. All bids will start at £10.
Funds raised from the sale will be donated to Castle Quay’s charity partner The Sunshine Centre, who offer practical help, advice and guidance and emotional support to families in Banbury, ensuring children are happy and receive the best possible start in life.
Anyone with an artistic creation they are willing to donate can take it to the centre’s Customer Service Desk from 1st to 14th August.

I’m a local artist and would love to be able to sell some work, as you can imaging a lot of local artist have struggled selling their work in this time. It’s a shame to cant show case Artists as well as expecting us to donate!
