Hospice seeking those interested in a trip to Hadrian’s Wall in latest fund-raising initiative

Katharine House Hospice is looking for people willing to put their best foot forward on a 24-mile trek exploring Hadrian’s Wall, raising money for the Hospice as they hike.

This latest fund-raising endeavour is due to take place from the 9th to 11th October, which is now just a couple of weeks away.   The exploration of the Roman monument and UNESCO World Heritage site will be led by tour guides across two-days.

The Katharine House team has joined forces with The Different Travel Company for the trip.   Those joining in will spend two nights camping at a nearby campsite.

The trip is described as “moderate to challenging” but anyone interested in taking up the challenge not only gets to see the this amazing monument but also does so in the knowledge they are raising vital much needed funds for the Hospice.

The cost of the trip is £295 which includes transport, food, campsite fees and tour guides.   The Hospice is asking people to raise at least £100 in sponsorship additionally.

The Different Travel Company will be arranging the tour with current COVID-19 rules in mind, with walkers organised into “bubbles” of six or less and masks required to be worn when being transported.
