Robber with knife steals cash and cigarettes from Banbury garage

CCTV images have been released of a man police would like to speak to following the robbery
A robber armed with a knife has stolen cash and cigarettes from a Banbury garage.
The robbery took place at the Esso Garage on Ermont Way in Banbury in the early hours of Sunday 27th September. Now Thames Valley Police have released images of a man they would like to speak to.
The incident happened at around 3.15am. A man entered the shop and demanded the cashier hand over money from the till. The man then went behind the tills and took several packets of cigarettes from the cabinet.
The man was armed with a knife. He left the garage in the direction of Hennef Way roundabout taking cash and cigarettes with him.
Thames Valley Police has released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to following the robbery.
Investigating officer PC Abigail Sharman based at Banbury police station said: “I believe the man in this CCTV image may have vital information that could help our investigation.
“If you witnessed this incident or have any information, or if you recognise this man or believe it could be you, please get in touch.
“Likewise if you have any CCTV or dash-cam footage that shows anything from the area at the time that might help our investigation”.
