COVID-19 case closes Let’s Play Project

The charity has written to parents of children who have been in contact with the Playworker with COVID-19 advising them to self-isolate
The Let’s Play Project is latest organisation that is having to close for 14 days due to COVID-19. The announcement comes after one of the Playworkers received a positive COVID-19 test result.
The Let’s Play Project specialises in fun After-School clubs, Holiday activities and Youth Groups for Young People aged 5-25 with additional needs. It also offers a regular Stay & Play session for under 5’s and their parents.
The charity, which is based on the Kings Sutton Road in Twyford, issued a letter home to parents from the Activity Manager, Sammy Bates. The letter says, “We have been made aware of a Playworker who has tested positive for COVID-19.
“We know that you may find this concerning, but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England. This letter is to inform you of the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child. Please be reassured that for most people coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild illness.
“The small number of children who have been in close contact with the individual who has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have received a letter informing them that their child must stay at home for 14 days.”
The Let’s Play Project will be closed until Monday 2nd November.
