Banbury Market Cancelled on Saturday
30/10/2020
Market organisers have pulled the plug as strong winds are predicted in North Oxfordshire
The threat of high winds in North Oxfordshire has forced the organisers of Banbury Market to pull the plug on the market tomorrow. They say the safety of traders and customers has to be their priority.
A statement says: “We’re really sorry to report that we have had to cancel Banbury Market tomorrow, Saturday 31st October.
“We’ve not had the best weather throughout October and the forecast for tomorrow is for high winds and heavy rain throughout the day.
“We never like to cancel a market, however the safety of our traders and customers will always be our main priority”.
Winds with gusts up to 45 miles per hour are predicted for Saturday on what will be a generally wet day. Organisers say the market will return on Thursday, weather permitting.
