Four males and a female arrested following concerns raised about safety of property occupant

Five people were arrested yesterday (18th November) following an incident that occurred at Kennedy House off Orchard Way in Banbury.   Four of the arrests were on suspicion of drug supply with a fifth on suspicion of burglary.

Thames Valley Police initially attended a property at Kennedy House after concerns were raised for the safety of the occupant of the address.   This led to the arrest of four males on suspicion of drug supply.    It is understood they are not from this area but due to their ages further details can not be provided.   A quantity of drugs were recovered.

A 37 year old female from Banbury was also arrested on suspicion of burglary following a further report from the same location.

Thames Valley Police are continuing their investigation.   The four male suspects have been bailed with conditions not to enter Oxfordshire whilst police enquiries continue.

The female remained in custody last night.

In order to safeguard the occupant of the address officers secured a Closure Order for the property which makes it an arrestable offence for anybody other than permitted persons to be inside.    The police will be monitoring the address to ensure the order is complied with.

Thames Valley Police said: “If you have concerns around any of your neighbours being subject to such activity please do report to us. We take these reports seriously and action will be taken.

“We would also like to thank Sanctuary Housing and Cherwell District Council for their assistance with securing the order today.”
