Breathing apparatus, hose reels and a thermal image camera used to help extinguish the fire
Three fires crews dealt with a well-developed fire in a farm building at Middleton Stoney on Saturday afternoon. Upon arrival the crew discovered the blaze had taken hold on the ground floor including the ceiling and was spreading to the first floor.
Crew members used breathing apparatus, hose reels and a thermal image camera to help them extinguish the fire. Two appliances from Bicester and one from Banbury were in attendance.
After an investigation the cause of the fire was deemed to be accidental.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue said: “Please remember to test your smoke alarms once a week to make sure they’re working- the earlier a fire is detected the better chance we have of minimising the damage it can do. “
