Witnesses sought after a dark blue coloured Aprilla motorcycle crashed into roundabout

A man has been left with serious injuries after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a roundabout on Hennef Way.   The incident happened at 8.30pm on Monday evening (May 10).

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.  

The motorcyclist was riding a dark blue coloured Aprilla motorcycle which collided with the roundabout at the junction with Concorde Avenue.

The rider, a man aged in his forties, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains.

PC Dean O’Dell, of Bicester Howes Lane police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this single vehicle road traffic collision, which resulted in the motorcyclist sustaining serious injuries.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who was in this area at the same time as this incident, or anyone who believes they may have seen this motorcycle in the time before the incident.

“Additionally, anyone with dash cam footage would be asked to review it in case anything significant was captured on it that could help with this investigation.”

Hennef Way was closed for a couple of hours whilst the emergency services dealt with the incident.
