War-time style corned beef sandwiches and cup cakes were on offer

The 81st anniversary of VE Day was marked in Brackley on Friday.

Members of the town’s Royal British Legion invited people to join them outside Brackley Town Hall between 9am and 1pm.   On offer were war-time style corned beef sandwiches, cup cakes and real ale to celebrate the day.

Town Mayor Bernie Tiller and his mayoress Kim were in attendance at what was one of Councillor Tiller’s last duties during his mayoral year, which ended today.
