Chalker Way gets its own B10 bus, but Dukes Meadow Drive looses its B9

A number of changes are coming to Banbury’s bus services in May.   These include the introduction of a new route to Chalker Way, which is home to a number of employers – amongst them Hello Fresh and Prodrive.

The new route will be called the B10 and will be a Monday to Friday service to and from Banbury bus station.   Its being paid for through funded secured by Oxfordshire County Council.

The first service of the day will run shortly after 5.30am and the final return trip at 10.15pm, with the schedule timed to fit with shift patterns.

A new route is being applied to the B9 bus between Hardwick and Banbury Gateway.   It will move to running via Nickling Road to bring the service closer to the Hanwell Chase development.   However Dukes Meadow Drive will no longer be served.   Instead Stagecoach suggests customers can catch the bus from nearby stops at Greville Road or Usher Park Drive.

Buses on the B5 Bretch Hill route will start earlier at 5am to allow commuters to connect with the new B10 and B4 routes.   Other tweaks will help improve the interview between journeys.

Minor changes are also being made to the times of services in the B3 and B4 services.

The changes come into effect from Sunday May 12.
