Bernie Tiller was elected at a town council meeting last night and succeeds Elaine Wiltshire, who’s worn the chains of office for the last twelve months.

Councillor Tiller is well known for facilitating many of the events in Brackley which showcase local talent and organisations.   He’s been a town councillor since 2016.

Announcing the news on social media past-Mayor Mrs Wiltshire said: “Congratulations Bernie — you will be a fabulous Mayor. I wish you every success and hope you enjoy the civic side of the Council across the County.”

Councillor Tiller’s wife Kim will be his Mayoress. Brackley’s Mayor Making Ceremony will take place a week on Saturday (May 31) in the Town Hall.
