Its games in the National League for those at St James Park next season
Brackley Town are league champions!
The Saints will be playing in the National League next season after a convincing win against Farsley Celtic – and a defeat for league leaders Kidderminster Harriers – saw Brackley finish the season at the top of the table with 92 points on Saturday. Scunthorpe United finished second with 90 points and Kidderminster dropped to third on 89 points.
The result came after years of heartache for Brackley Town, who have been close but fallen at the final hurdle a number of times.
Saturday’s game saw the Saints come out wanting to get the job done early, netting a 4-0 lead by half time and finishing off their bottom of the league rivals with another after the break, leaving the final score 5-0 to the home team.
The match was played infront of Hawaiian shirt wearing local supporters, with 1,691 inside St James Park.
Promotion was confirmed with confirmation of the final score in the north-west where Kidderminster were beaten 2-1 by Southport.
