Child shaken up after being approached by man in taxi on way to school

Police are investigating a report that a man in a white vehicle approached a child on her way to primary school in Banbury this morning.
The incident, at around 8.55am, occurred near the William Morris School on Bretch Hill.
The vehicle is described as a white taxi, but its make and model aren’t known. The driver is described as having ‘darker’ skin and a black beard.
The child was unhurt but shaken by the incident.
A Thames Valley police spokesperson said “We can state there have been no other reports of a similar nature.
“If you witnessed this or have details of the vehicle in question, or even indeed if you are the driver – please do contact us and quote reference 43250073307.”
