Cropredy children to perform on same stage as Trevor Horn and Fairport Convention
09/12/2024
The lineup for the Cropredy 2025 festival has been announced
Children from Cropredy Primary School have been given the honour of kicking off Friday’s line-up at next summer’s Cropredy Festival.
The youngsters from the school’s years 4 and 6 started a folk music class and festival organisers are giving them the chance to perform on the mainstage at the three-day event.
The full line-up for next August has been announced this morning with The Trevor Horn Band taking up the Friday night slot, having had to withdraw from the event this summer. The man behind the Buggles and Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s biggest songs is described as one of the most influential and award-winning producers and musicians in popular music. He will deliver a set full of hits and mystery guests.
Grammy Award-winning guitarist Albert Lee headlines on Thursday and Fairport Convention will close the festival on Saturday evening.
Tickets for Cropredy 2025 went on sale this morning and will be limited to 6,500, as organisers say they are having to “scale back, simplify and slim down” to enable the festival to continue.
A three-day ticket costs £220.00, or £90 for teenagers. Children under 12 remain free. Camping will be £60 per vehicle and parking for those not camping £15 for 3 days.
Fairport’s Cropredy Convention runs from August 7 to 9, 2025.
