Donations for “Yellow Wellies” are still being counted

Over 100 vehicles took part in the Brackley Christmas Tractor Run on Sunday evening.

The convoy of fairy lit vehicles set off from Sainsbury’s in Brackley, then headed up the Northampton Road to Pavillions Way, down Humphries Drive and along the Banbury Road before completing the circuit up the High Street back to Sainsbury’s.

Hundreds of people lined the route, cheering the tractors as they passed.

Tractor drivers were given free entry to the event and provided with hot drinks and snacks as a thank-you from Brackley Town Council.

Donations of over £2,000 have been recorded so far, but with counting of the money collected in the cash buckets still to be completed organisers at Brackley Town Council are looking to beat last year’s total of £3,284.

Once finalised all the money raised will be donated to Yellow Wellies – a charity which supports the next generation of farmers’ mental health and wellbeing.

Anyone who didn’t manage to donate on the night can still do so using Brackley Town Council’s Facebook page, or on the town council’s website (on the Events page).
