Doors open at new Hill View Hospice shop

The shop will be open from 9am to 4pm six days a week

A new Katharine House shop has opened in Banbury.   The outlet on Hill View Crescent will complement the hospice’s existing town centre store.

The new shop opened at 10am this morning and will cater to the local community, offering a whole range of pre-loved goods.

Paula Putt is the outlet’s manager.   She has worked for Katharine House for more than 17 years as the shop manager for the hospice’s Chipping Norton store.

Together with her team, Paula is looking forward to welcoming new customers.    She said: “Our shops are the face of Katharine House and are essential to help raise vital funds so the hospice can continue the good work it does in the community. The Hill View shop is bright, modern and friendly, with a little bit of everything for sale. Plus, it has easy access as we have a parking bay right outside the front of the shop.

“It will be a new challenge for me setting up and running a new shop within the Hillview community. I have been privileged to work with some amazing, dedicated volunteers and paid staff, past and present, and equally generous donors and customers who over time have become friends and regular customers.”

The shop will be open from 9am to 4pm Monday through to Saturday.

Enquiries about donations can be made by calling 01295 574249.   Anyone who would like to volunteer in the shop can ask Paula in person or get in touch by emailing
