Extra Saturday train services for London commuters
15/05/2025

A revised timetable is in force from this Sunday
Three additional Saturday London trains are being introduced with the aim of relieving the pressure on existing Chiltern Railways services.
The announcement comes ahead of timetable changes, which are in place from this Sunday.
Banbury to Marylebone services have been added on Saturdays at 9.46am and 10.13am, with an extra return service scheduled at 5.37pm.
Elsewhere the timetable changes include a small number of service time changes with the aim of improving overall punctuality.
Tony Baxter, Operations Director at Chiltern Railways, said: “I would like to remind customers to please check your journeys ahead of our upcoming timetable change this Sunday as some service times will change by a few minutes.
“We’re seeing busy Saturday services with more customers visiting the many great destinations on the Chiltern network. To offer more capacity for our customers, we are introducing three additional Saturday services between Banbury and London Marylebone which should ease some of the pressure on our trains to and from Birmingham.”
