Financial volunteer found so hall can remain open
12/03/2025

Eleven people came forward following an appeal
Villagers in Kings Sutton will be able to continue enjoying activities and events at their village hall after a number of financially minded volunteers came forward to take on the role of Treasurer.
The Trustees of the Millennium Memorial Hall needed to find someone to fill the position as the current post-holder is standing down at their Annual General Meeting in April.
An appeal was launched in February when it was realised there weren’t any obvious candidates. A warning was given that without a volunteer the hall may be forced to close.
Eleven people responded to the call from both Kings Sutton and the surrounding area and so the hall’s operational future has been secured.
A spokesperson for the Trustees said: “We hope this news is very much welcomed by all our supporters. Thank you to everyone who took an interest and reached out.”
