Fire Cadets programme looking for new intake

Weekly sessions for 13 to 17-year-olds are held at local fire stations
Young people in places like Brackley and Middleton Cheney are being encouraged to apply to join the Northamptonshire Fire Cadets programme.
Run by Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service, the scheme offers 13 to 17-year-olds the chance to learn new skills, gain an insight into life in the fire service and take part in community and national events.
Cadets attend weekly sessions at local fire stations, helping to develop confidence, teamwork and leadership skills while supporting their local communities.
Applicants must be able to attend one session each week during term time and take part in at least six community events per year.
Applications for the 2026 intake close on 30 June.
