They had to deal with complications involving gas, electricity and water supplies
A fire at a takeaway in Banbury led to a road closure and power outages for nearby properties early on Saturday morning.
Four fire crews and two specialist vehicles were called to Calthorpe Street at 4.22am. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly brought the blaze under control.
However, complications involving gas, electricity and water supplies meant crews required assistance from National Grid and utility providers to make the area safe.
A number of nearby homes and businesses were left without power while emergency works were carried out.
Fire crews remained at the scene through the morning. The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
