The Farm Safety Foundation – Yellow Wellies will receive the money raised at the event

Last night hundreds of people packed the streets around Brackley to watch 98 festively decorated tractors tour the town, raising money for the Farm Safety Foundation – Yellow Wellies.

Now in its third year, more vehicles had registered to take part this year than ever before.   Last year 64 tractors were in the convoy.

By Monday lunchtime over £2,300 had been donated online.    A number of bucket shakers were also around the route with that cash yet to be added to the grand total raised.

Brackley Town Council organised the Tractor Run.   A spokesperson said: “We are thrilled to announce the success of the annual Brackley Christmas Tractor Run, which saw an incredible turnout of 98 tractors!

“We are grateful to all who participated and made this event such a great success.’’

Police accompanying the convoy were also in a festive mood
