08/12/2023

Opening day “surprise and delight moments” will be available for the first customers

The new Hotel Chocolat store in Banbury will open next Friday (December 15).

The company is describing the shop as an “out-of-town concept store” which will include a Velvetiser Café.   Here Velvetised drinking chocolate and other hot drinks will be available with the option to personalize the drink with combinations of 18 flavours served hot, over ice or as a Choc Shake.

The store is located at Stroud Park in the old Frankie and Benny’s building.   The 4,313 sq. ft unit has room to seat 40 guests allowing shoppers a sit in experience whilst browsing the range of top-quality chocolates.

Hotel Chocolat’s Co-founder and Development Director, Peter Harris, said: “We’re making retail park experiences that much more enjoyable with the opening of Hotel Chocolat at Banbury Stroud Leisure Park. Whether you’re after a relaxing drink in one of our Velvetiser Cafes or would like to explore our range of top-quality chocolate, our new concept store offers guests the opportunity to shop at a more leisurely pace.

“This latest opening is part of our plans to launch many more stores across the country in the next three to five years. Physical stores are extremely attractive and the beauty of being out-of-town is that we have good accessibility and parking so people can visit with ease.”

Hotel Chocolat’s first visitors will be able to experience “surprise and delight moments” for customers who purchase on the opening day, as well as 20% off in the Velvetiser Cafe for members of the Hotel Chocolat members club.

The store will be open between 9am and 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm on Saturday and 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday.
