Its having a kick-on effect in Banbury town centre

Drivers have experienced delays on the M40 this morning due to emergency repairs following a collision yesterday evening.

The incident, which sensors show as between junction 11 at Banbury and the Southam Road bridge over the motorway, caused significant damage to the central reservation barrier.  Repairs to the road surface are also required.

This morning two lanes have been closed on the northbound carriageway.   Southbound one lane is closed.

The Highways Agency say emergency repairs will be ongoing through the day.

The incident has had a knock-on effect for Banbury drivers, with both Hennef Way and the Southam Road very busy.
