Group of youths sought after man sustained injuries during 'altercation'
A man in his fifties required hospital treatment after what police are describing as an “altercation” with a group of youths.
The man sustained a black eye and bruising to his head, back and abdomen during the incident, which occurred in the alleyway between Christchurch Court and Bridge Street at around 6.15pm last Sunday (January 5, 2019).
Another victim, a teenage boy, sustained some minor injuries including scratches to his throat.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident. The group of youths are described as being between 14-years-old and 18-years-old and all were wearing tracksuits.
Investigating officer PC Lucy Henderson-Slater said “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who has any information about what happened to please come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to call police on the non-emergency number 101, or make a report online, quoting reference 43200004673”.
