Man sustains broken leg following incident after charity football game

It happened at St James Park on April 19

Police are investigating a post-match kickabout following a charity football game in Brackley which led to a man breaking his leg.

The game took place at Brackley Town’s St James Park on Sunday April 19.   Following the game, between 4pm and 5pm, a woman is alleged to have tackled the man during a kickabout leading to the injury.

The victim is in his 20s.

A woman in her 30s has been interviewed voluntarily by police in connection with the assault, but officers would now like to hear from anyone else who may have witnessed the incident or who may have captured the incident on their mobile phone.
